Wintermist LouLou is our 2nd release for this season, she is named after my sister who is fond of all shades of orange and when I presented her a birthday bouquet featuring this seedling a couple of years ago she strongly suggested I name it after her, this one’s for you Lou.
I have to admit to also being a fan of this colour and the darker almost purpley centre when the flower is opening is an added attraction. Wintermist LouLou is a small decorative occasionally pushing into the medium class especially early in the season, she is very prolific and one of the first to start blooming and last to finish, like Wintermist Lucy Rose she also holds her centres till the end of the season. A reliable cut flower that we use constantly in our bouquets. The seed parent was Breannon and LouLou seems to have inherited all the things I love about Breannon, I had Lileah Caramel Rose close by and wouldn’t be surprised if she contributed to the gorgeous caramelly tones of Wintermist LouLou too.
